BSD-Licensed Toolchain Status

A number of operating system projects are currently looking at ways to migrated from GCC and GNU binutils to BSD licensed toolchains. This includes the BSD family of operating systems, Minix, and Apple's Mac OS. I will discuss the current status of FreeBSD's efforts to move to an LLVM based tool chain and invite discussion on the current state of toolchain options. If you would like to present on your project's efforts to use emerging BSD toolchain components, please contact brooks@FreeBSD.org.
