The Web Objects Kitchen
The Web Objects Kitchen
The Web Objects Kitchen (or WOK for short) is a web development framework with strong emphasis on application logic/presentation separation, themins and globalization. While based on MVC concepts it does not enforce them and provides tools to build the "pages" of a web application out of independent components. WOK can be hosted on ASP.NET (it runs nicely with Mono XSP or mod_mono) but also has a light-weight "standalone" web server that doesn't depend on the System.Web libraries. The talk will be about framework itself and how it was used to solve some specific problems in real-world, production web sites.
