Christopher Sullivan is currently the Assistant Director for Biocomputing in the Center for Genome Research and Biocomputing at Oregon State. In this position at the CGRB he works with 26 separate departments consisting of faculty researching a diversity of topics such as identification of plankton in our oceans to assembly of genomes. This macro-level perspective provides a unique opportunity to identify and remove limits affecting all research computing. His work has focused on Biocomputing and life sciences that change the way we look at and interact with the environment. Christopher works tirelessly to find any computational limits that change the scope of work we can do at the CGRB, or introduces a bias to a research question. Christopher has worked in the field of computational science for 20 years and has co-authored over 30 scientific publications.
