Ian Paterson
Ian Paterson has been programming JavaScript since 1995. In 1998 he started ClientSide, a company dedicated to the development of Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using techniques similar to those now known as Comet and AJAX.
From 2001 ClientSide focused on pioneering the development of ROX applications (RIA Over XMPP). Ian is the author of multiple XMPP Extension Protocols (XEPs) and a member of the XMPP Council. After several years working to include the tools for RIA development within the Jabber community, Ian is at FOSDEM to introduce RIA developers to the pleasures of Jabber.
