FOSDEM

FOSDEM is an event for the community, by the community. As such, we think it is important to keep access to the event free.
It is organised by volunteers who don't get paid and don't have commercial interests in the event.
However, as one might imagine, organizing such an event costs a lot of money.

The main characteristic of FOSDEM is that it is a non-commercial event. To keep it that way, we think the best way to fund the event is to ask for support from the open source community on a voluntary basis.

We're asking you to support the event by making a voluntary donation.
As a return to donators, various prizes will be given by us and our sponsors.

The draw works dynamically: for every multiplication of 25 EUR, your chance to win one of the prizes below will increase (example: with 100 EUR you have 4 times more chances to win than with 25 EUR).
Note that you have to donate at least 25 EUR to participate to the draw.

Other gifts are given for donations depending on the amount of money, to each donator:

• 25 EUR or more: a FOSDEM T-shirt ! (different sizes available)
• 50→99 EUR: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly pocket guide of your choice (*)
• 100→149 EUR: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly book of your choice (*)
• 150 EUR or more: a FOSDEM T-shirt + an O'Reilly book of your choice (*) + participation in a draw to get 5 additional O'Reilly books of your choice (2 winners of 5 books)

FOSDEM ASBL/VZW (the non-profit association) was founded in April 2002. Donations will sadly enough not be tax deductible.

So, how can I contribute to FOSDEM?
