Evangelos TSAVALOPOULOS
Evangelos has more than 25 years of professional experience that spans technology, advertising and media. For the last 19 years he has been working for the European Commission leading the design and implementation of various large-scale digital solutions and services. Besides Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) , Evangelos also has a sound professional experience of more than 11 years in data protection/privacy and also on aspects relevant to computer and information security. Evangelos is currently leading, among other, the Open Source Programme Office (OSPO) of the European Commission (EC) that is go-between for all activities outlined in the EC Open Source Strategy and the respective action plan. It will assist subject matter experts, promote inner source and help balance internal focus and external activities.
