Dr. Carsten Kutzner is working at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Biophysical Chemistry in the Department of Helmut Grubmüller. Carsten studied Physics at the University of Göttingen, Germany. In his PhD thesis he focused on numerical simulations of Earth's magnetic field with the help of high performance and parallel computing. After a stay at the MPI for Solar System Research he moved from planetary phycics to atomistic molecular dynamics simulation. Carsten is interested in cost-efficient high performance and high throughput computing and in method development for biomolecular simulation codes such as GROMACS.
