Arun Thomas

Arun Thomas is an open-source developer and a systems researcher at BAE Systems R&D. He digs operating systems and computer architecture.

Arun has been working with RISC-V since the public announcement in August 2014, and he is the Chair of the RISC-V Foundation Software Working Group. He has contributed to several open-source projects over the years, including the MINIX 3 operating system as a core developer, the Gentoo Linux distribution as a developer, and the Linux kernel as an occasional contributor. He has given talks about open source at ARM TechCon, the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC), BSDCan, EuroBSDcon, FOSDEM, Systems We Love, and the RISC-V Workshop.
