How to map a desktop IM protocol for mobile use: Jaiku combines rich presence and group messaging on the web and on the mobile, powered by Jabber.
After an introduction into Jaiku, this presentation shows how Jaiku uses XMPP protocols and highlights the associated challenges, touching on network coverage, battery usage, sporadic attention, low input-rates.
