Panayotis Antoniadis is the co-founder of the nonprofit organization nethood.org, which explores the role of ICTs for bridging the virtual with the physical space in cities and designs tools for self-organization and conviviality in the areas of DIY networking, social infrastructures, complementary currencies and cooperative housing. Panayotis has an engineering background on the design and implementation of distributed systems, a Ph.D. on the economics of peer-to-peer networks, and he is currently pursuing a highly interdisciplinary research agenda around the participatory design of hybrid urban space with a focus on wireless and peer-to-peer technology.
