Prometheus is often associated with modern architectures, cloud-native applications, and dynamic container platforms. While new applications can be designed to integrate well with cloud infrastructure and monitoring, most organisations also have to operate legacy applications that do not fit well into these environments.

This talk shows how to monitor legacy Java applications with Prometheus. The goal is to have Prometheus as a central monitoring tool that integrates both, modern cloud-native applications as well as legacy Java EE applications.
