Sahil Dua
An avid open source contributor, Sahil is one of the core contributors at DuckDuckGo's open source Instant Answers. Contributed to some of the projects by Google, GitHub, Adobe and Mozilla. Currently working at Booking.com in infrastructure team.
A passionate open source contributor, Sahil is one of the core contributors in DuckDuckGo's open source Instant Answers; among top 15 contributors at the moment. He is also among top 15 contributors for GitHub's official project Linguist, which handles all the languages related logic on GitHub repositories. He has made significant contributions to the famous open source data manipulation and analysis python library - Pandas as well. He is currently maintaining around half a dozen of open source projects including HackIDE - an online code editor, compiler and interpreter built using Django and Text-Watermark (NodeJS module) - a watermark library based on ImageMagick that can be used to put text watermarks on images. Being an avid hackathon lover, he has won around half a dozen of hackathons organized in different parts of the country. In one of the hackathons organized in NIT Surat, his team bagged Best Documentation Award (By Google) and Best API Incorporation Award (By DuckDuckGo) along with the overall 2nd prize. Besides this, he has also worked with more than 6 startups including Zomato, HackerRank, Refiral, RiteTag etc.
