Philippe Ombredanne
Philippe Ombredanne is a passionate FOSS hacker, maintainer of ScanCode, a committer to strace, co-founder of SPDX at the Linux Foundation, active mentor for the Google summer of Code, contributor to Python packaging tools such as wheel and buildout, an avid Pythonista contributing to several projects and a formerly active Eclipse and JBoss committer.
A hacker and entrepreneur, Philippe is also a software librarian and a code detective. As the CTO of nexB Inc.-a startup offering products and services to discover and manage code provenance- he builds free and open source software tools to help software teams find what's in their code. Philippe has been a speaker at several FOSS events including the Linux Collaboration Summit, EclipseCon, JavaOne and other venues. Philippe is on a mission to make it easy to build great software by reusing software components more efficiently.
