This talk will discuss the issues around implemeting LFE (Lisp Flavoured Erlang) on the Erlang VM. The Erlang VM has been specially designed to implement Erlang and as such it has a number of interesting features and limitations which directly influence the design of a lisp running on top of it. We will look at the properties of the Erlang VM and our design goals for LFE and the LFE lisp which this resulted in.
