Brussels / 1 & 2 February 2014

schedule

Dimitri Pertin

I like beers, hot dogs and table football (it is important to do sport).

My name is Dimitri Pertin. I am newly accepted Ph.D student at the University of Nantes (France) under the supervision of Nicolas Normand [1] and BenoƮt Parrein [2] (IRCCyN Lab). My thesis deals with the use of erasure coding in distributed file systems as a way to protect user data that face failures, while significantly reducing the storage cost compared to traditional technique of data protection. In parallel, I joined the french startup Fizians [3]. They provide an open-source distributed file system called RozoFS, based on an erasure code.

FOSDEM14 will be my fourth edition of FOSDEM :)
