John is an Electronics Engineer by training and now works as a Software Researcher on the Mancoosi Project.
He has worked on various integration tasks and testing within and around apt-rpm and on the conversion of Caixa Mágica from RPM 4.6 to 5.3. He works on RPM from an external perspective comparing and contrasting what solutions are available and how they work with meta-installers. Generally when he is not trying to get some device working with Linux, he is trying to learn new techniques and improve the world bit by bit.
