Bjarni Rúnar has been an active member of the Free Software communities in Iceland since the late 90s. He has spoken at and helped organize conferences, participated in community efforts including LUGs, Icelandic i18n teams and an Icelandic Linux distribution. He has also written and distributed free software of his own. In November 2010, at FSCONS in Sweden, Bjarni received the Nordic Free Software Award for his efforts. He is currently working full time on PageKite.
