For the last 12 years Steven Goodwin (London, England) has been professionally involved in both the community and development environment for Linux, Free Software and Open Source. His first articles in Linux Magazine in 2001 began a long partnership where brought the C programming language to the newstand, demonstrated home automation and uncovered command line power tools. He has spoken at many conferences, both nationally and internationally, and is currently working on home automation and game projects, while writing his third book. He is also the author of the yearly FOSDEM Diary, and host of TheBeerCrate.com, a podcast for ale lovers the world over.
