Dominique Dumont

Dominique lives in Grenoble, surrounded by the French alps. His first encounter with a computer was in college in 1978 where he wrote some LSE programs on a Mitra 15.

Since then, Dominique has been:

  • Perl modules author since about 1996: he created Tk modules and recently a framework to ease configuration handling
  • Debian user and contributor since 2000 (member of debian-perl group)
  • occasional Kernel hacker to make hhis PC based home cinema work (mostly in dvb and alsa)
  • doing some DYI Hifi projects (active loudspeaker design and amplifiers construction)
  • scuba diving instructor
  • avid Telemark skier
