About Drupal
Drupal is a modular, open source CMS built on PHP/MySQL. Tens of thousands of people and organizations are using Drupal to power scores of different web sites, including websites like een.be, whitehouse.gov, robbiewilliams.com, rutgers.edu, et cetera.
Drupal is going through turbulent times:
- Drupal 7 is to be released beginning of 2010
- Drupal 7 will see huge improvements in usability (and general user-friendliness)
- the Drupal community is growing explosively with sold-out conferences of 1400 participants in Washington DC last spring and 900 participants in Paris last fall. There is also a noticeable increase in Drupal-events all over the world.
