Fabian Arrotin

Fabian promotes CentOS at events, contributes to the forums and through bug reporting, as well as being part of the RPMforge project.

Fabian discovered Linux in 1998 and tested several distributions but always went back to Red Hat. When they decide to split between RHEL and Fedora core, he could not support the cost of an Enterprise Linux distro for his personal use on his workstations and servers. He then found CentOS and quickly tried to be part of that community. He contributes to the CentOS project mainly for the forums (including the french one), QA packages testing and/or bug reporting. He tries also to promote CentOS through events like the Fosdem. He's also member of the RPMforge project where he builds the PPC packages for EL4/EL5. You can from time to time read some of his thoughts on http://planet.centos.org or in the #centos channel on irc.freenode.net On his professional life, he's working in mostly on IBM hardware in mixed environments (Intel servers/ IBM PPC64 servers) with CentOS or RHEL.
