Free transportation from FOSDEM to Brussels-South railway station

From Sunday afternoon till Sunday evening, FOSDEM will provide free transportation by bus from the conference site (ULB Campus Solbosch) to the Brussels-South railway station which has the best connections to Brussels Airport and neighboring countries.

By Bus and/or Tram

New in 2009: Free transportation to the Brussels-South railway station

From Sunday afternoon till Sunday evening, FOSDEM will provide free transportation by bus from the conference site (ULB Campus Solbosch) to the Brussels-South railway station which has the best connections to Brussels Airport and neighboring countries.

The FOSDEM bus will pick up people at the main bus stop on the 'Adolphe Buyllaan/Avenue Adolphe Buyl' road about 100 meters away. We will provide signalization so you'll have no problem finding it.

The FOSDEM articulated bus has a capacity of 140 travelers. We hope you enjoy this free service!

  • Direction: De Brouckere <-> Delta
  • Stop: ULB
Tram 94
  • Direction: Herrmann-Debroux <-> Stade
  • Stop: Solbosch
Tram 25
  • Direction: Rogier <-> Boondaal Station
  • Stop: Solbosch

All of them stop at "ULB" (crossroads Avenue Adolphe Buyl - Sq. Deveze,) then walk down the Avenue Paul Heger on your right hand.

By Train

From Brussels South (a.k.a. "Bruxelles Midi", "Brussel Zuid" or "Gare du Midi") Station (about 30 minutes):

  • Take the Metro line 2, direction Simonis
  • Get off at station Louise
  • Take the tram 94, direction Herrmann-Debroux
  • get off at stop Solbosch and walk down ave. Paul Heger on your right hand.


From Brussels Central ("Bruxelles Central", "Brussel Centraal" or "Gare Centrale") station (about 20 minutes):

  • Take Bus 71, direction Delta
  • Get off at stop U.L.B. and walk down ave. Heger on your right hand.


From Brussels North ("Bruxelles Nord" or "Gare du Nord") station (about 30 minutes):

  • Take Tram 25, direction Boondael Gare
  • Get off at stop Solbosch and walk down avenue Heger on you right hand.

From Etterbeek station (about 20 minutes (walk)):

By Plane

From Brussels International Airport, located in Zaventem (about 50 minutes):
  • Take the train to Brussels
  • Get off at Brussels Central station
  • Take Bus 71, direction Delta
  • Get off at stop U.L.B. and walk down avenue Paul Heger on your right hand.
