Øyvind Kolås is 28 years old, grew up by a Norwegian fjord and currently lives in-land in Norway.

He enjoyed investigating both visual expression and how to make computers generate and manipulate imagery since his early teens. In the evenings, and at night, he creates interactive video installations, music videos, panoramic images, and media manipulation tools of various kinds. During the day he works as part of the academic staff at a university college and lectures on computer programming, digital media technology, as well as image processing at bachelor level.

He spends large portions of his spare time creating and using tools and toys that process digital images.
