Jim Blandy

Jim is a Free software developer, currently working on gcc, binutils and gdb.

Jim is interested in programming languages, from theory down to the bits, Japanese language, culture, and food, music, biology, and astronomy. He also has an unfortunate addiction to political blogs, and loves a good argument.

Jim currently works for CodeSourcery on the GNU compiler, binutils, and debugger. He wrote GDB's C preprocessor macro support, and implemented the bytecode compiler for tracepoints. On the side, he's busy on tracepoint debugging for the Linux kernel.

He is one of the original designers of Subversion, a revision control system meant to replace CVS.
