The speaker will talk about FOSS (especially web 2.0) for the humanities, about the ideas behind LogiLogi Manta, like entity-oriented philosophy and combining full openness with quality-control, and last but not least about LogiLogi Manta itself.
About LogiLogi Manta:
LogiLogi Manta targets on making incremental and entity- oriented philosophical discussions possible. Core values are openness, relativism and quality of content. Manta is bringing together the idea of writeups of everything2.com and the transparency of Wiki's and the posibillity for rating content from multiple viewpoints, hierarchical tagging, meaningfull urls, link-types, and more.
Manta was started with a modest grant from the Philosophy department of the (Dutch) Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
