Linux in embedded security devices: a showcase
As we all know, GNU/Linux has become a very stable and secure operating system. Companies worldwide are starting to see this and have come to a point where linux really is a key differentiator in their product portfolio.
One of such product portfolios is the latest product line of IDCS, a company specialised in Integrated Security & Video Systems. By integrating standard open source products like openssl, apache, postgresql and others, IDCS has build a range of IP-based security devices for access control.
