Gerald Combs is the original developer of Ethereal. He started the project in 1998 while working at an ISP. Since then many bright and talented people have contributed to Ethereal, making it the world's premier network protocol analyzer.
He currently works as a consultant, providing support for Ethereal as well as general networking support for firms in a variety of industries, ranging from telecommunications to pharmaceuticals to banking. When not engaged in the struggle to remodel his house, he enjoys riding his bicycle.
