Ulrich Hoffmann
Ulrich Hoffmann is a long time programmer and computer scientist starting to use computers in the 1980s. He studied computer science at Kiel University, worked in the printing industry as software developer on control software for digital color printing presses. Today he is professor for distributed systems, robotics and machine learning at Fachhochschule Wedel near Hamburg. There he is responsible for the study course Bachelor Smart Technology and Master Computer Science.
In addition to his professional work Ulrich Hoffmann does nowadays at the university, he is working on developing ultra small yet versatile programming languages. He learned about Forth in 1984 and so his languages are of the Forth flavor: universal interactive stack based languages suitable for real time control.
