Andrew Katz is an English and Irish lawyer who is qualified to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales. He has been involved in open hardware licensing (and free and open source software) for many years, and as well as being on the core drafting team of the CERN Open Hardware Licence he also drafted the Solderpad licence. His involvement in Open Hardware covers mechanical devices, electronic circuitry, FPGAs and microprocessor cores.
