Walid Shaari
Linux systems engineer passionate about all things open, configuration management, DevOps, Kubernetes and automation. recently assigned to network management team to help solve some of the network configuration and automation issues. holds several active professional systems and security certifications.
Walid is a senior HPC systems engineer working for large Middle-eastern geoscientific HPC Data Center. Before that in 2005 worked for Red Hat Linux partners in Saudi and UK. He led and participated in the deployment, and daily operations of several large-scale Linux HPC clusters, as well the implementation of data-driven Puppet configuration management in late 2014. He also represents his team in several company-wide Infrastructure and security projects in addition to the day-to-day operations of the Linux HPC clusters and configuration management tasks. Walid is the organiser for the Docker and Ansible Dhahran meetups. He holds M.Sc. in computer networks.
