Michael Haubenwallner
Michael is senior software developer at SSI Schäfer IT Solutions GmbH (formerly known as Salomon Automation GmbH) since 1996, where his main responsibility since 1998 is to provide a development and runtime environment for the company's C/C++ application, which needs to be portable across Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems.
Since 2004, the Gentoo GNU/Linux meta distribution is Michael's choice to provide Linux'ish experience to developers even on operating systems like Unix and Windows. His contributions back to both the Gentoo package repository and Gentoo Portage as the package manager lead to the creation of the Gentoo Prefix subproject in 2007, besides a full Gentoo Linux developer status for Michael since then.
