An important part of building a virtual datacenter is networking. The common wisdom in the field is that providing virtual layer 2 networks built using one of the many open source vSwitches is the correct approach. This talk covers Project Calico, an open source attempt to provide an alternative approach by re-architecting the data center in the image of the Internet, aiming for simplicity, scale and efficiency.
