Understanding GNOME internals to administrate desktop Debian machines

Linux in general, and Debian in particular, is a popular system for large-scale deployments, and that includes desktop machines. However, the internals of GNOME and its supporting frameworks, which are useful knowledge for the system administrator, are not well-known. This talk will look into permissions management, configuration mechanisms, networking configuration, the virtual filesystem, and other things to know about administrating GNOME in general, and its specificities in Debian.
