FOSDEM '10 is a free and non-commercial event organized by the community, for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers a place to meet. No registration necessary.

   

Devrooms, Stands and notifications

We had a record number of devroom requests this year. In total 39 projects applied for a devroom, distro's not included. We only have 12 rooms per day, or 24 devroom-days to offer, so we had to reject many proposals. On the other hand, 12 rooms per day + 2 crossdistro rooms + 1 lightning talk room + 2 main track auditoria are bound to offer a very interesting and diverse schedule !

The devrooms that will be part of FOSDEM 2010 are listed on http://fosdem.org/2010/list-devrooms-their-call-talks We will provide links to their respective call for papers, and we encourage interested parties to submit talk proposals.

Unfortunately, we were not able to send out all devroom notifications on Sunday, but every project should have gotten one by now.
For the stands, we also received a record number of requests. In fact, we are still putting the final touches on the assignment, investigating setups that could increase the number of available positions.
