He is an on-the-ground analyst, activist, and educator about critical intellectual property and civil liberties issues, working with members of the European Parliament, Commission and Council staff, consumer rights and public interest groups, and computer programmers and the media. Before joining EFF, Erik worked with the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure. Thanks to FFII, software patents are still hard to enforce in Europe.
