The talk will introduce the Ajatus project and application, show how data can be extended and connected by tagging, and how it can be synchronized between multiple users and machines.
Ajatus is an offline Ajax-driven P2P CRM application for free software consultants and web workers. It enables users to manage their billable hours, expenses, meeting notes and contacts in a consistent workstream, and keep those synchronized between multiple machines and with their clients and partners. With replication the data can be carried on trips with a Linux tablet, and kept at the same time accessible over the web.
The Ajatus project is GPLd, community-driven free software project built on CouchDb and jQuery, and managed over a collaborative Git repository. Hackers can extend the system with virtually any language through the RESTful plugin API.
Ajatus can be run on any platform CouchDb/Erlang and a modern web browser is available for. Implementations include Linux and OS X laptops, maemo-based internet tablets and the OLPC.
