It was my first FOSDEM and i didn't go into all the meetings/talks, only with the Wikipedia & Stallman meeting. It was very nice, i saw many people and the stands was very fine (thanks for the guy that provided Ubuntu in the stands, i'm going soon to try it :) )

I hope that next year, there will be other enjoyment like the one i took when going in this FOSDEM.

One's business days are filled with people who speak in business acronyms about business priorities, and whose only motivation is the business bottom line; any technical excitement is merely a veneer on a cynical exercise in manipulation. To attend FOSDEM is to remind oneself, refreshingly, that some people care about shared excellence for its own sake; they strive for the promotion of technical elegance and the unshackling of technical expression with a passion that is both endearing and inspiring. In the geeky fullness of it all, it represents an innocence and an idealism that most desiccated business souls have long since abandoned. Long may FOSDEM flourish.

First-Timer. Definitely not a "one-timer". Pleased to actualy see/hear HIM (Richard) in "the flesh"; Since Ethan Galstad never mentions anything about donations, i was planning to offer him a "bucket of beer" and a box of Belgian chocolates as a token of gratitude, but due to personal matters i had to leave early... Sorry Ethan - i ate them myself...
3 cheers for the organisation.

Great Talkings, great organisation, great staff, so a great FOSDEM.

I hadn't my google t-shirt :(, but i had the opporunity to see some good products, and a big motivation of lots of people for Open Source software and electronic freedom.

FOSDEM was absolutely fantastic. I'd never been to any similar event before, but I will be sure to go to every FOSDEM from now on!

As usual a big success, many thanks!

See you next year..

It was really great :D

I've been at every FOSDEM since the begining (at "la plaine").

I would thanks organisation team because they've improved it (organisational point of view) years after years. Developpers room in 2005 was really great (Imagine there was 18!!!): Presentation on time, meeting room places well documented, ...

Only problem I see is my own: It's become furstrating, because there are so many interesting meetings at the same moment. Next year I'll come with my clone ;-).

A proposition for next year: using VLC (as shown in the stand) with a camera per room. Would allow to follow 2 meetings at the same time. We can dream ;-).

I wanted to go to FOSDEM, but I overslept 4 hours... It was too late to catch a train to Brussels. I've been at FODEM 2004 and it was great! In 2006, I promise to awake on time! ;-)

Well, it was my first visit to FOSDEM, and I loved it :). I unfortunately didnt visit any of the talks, because I had a few 'non' geeks with me :). But I'm hoping to attend next year and stay a bit longer. I loved the free posters (thanks OpenBSD) I've been wanting one of those for like.. years :).

The O'Reilly stand was also very cool, and I bought some nice books :). And of course, I needed to get some of that cool clothing :).

Well, I'll post my pictures up here during the week (too busy now). For all who are at FOSDEM now, have fun!
