Yoann Vandoorselaere is the Prelude Intrusion Detection System project leader. He worked on lot of free software project, like libpcap (a library for capturing packet), the Nautilus file manager, the OMS media system, libvo, and other.
Laurent Oudot is one the members of the Prelude-IDS project. He works at the CEA. He was the co-chairman of the Security Topic of the Libre Software Meeting 2002. He is also a member of the security team called the "rstack team".
Yoann and Laurent will talk about the Prelude design and architecture. Why they did it that way, and why they think a 'meta' IDS model (ability to gather information from differents sources, host based, network based, and others) is much more reliable than the others models.
They will also talk about the facility provided by the Prelude project to achieve that goal. |
