MLS (Messaging Layer Security) is an upcoming IETF standard for messaging systems. In this talk, I will discuss some of the work in integrating MLS with Matrix. This will include:
- why we would want to use MLS
- making MLS work in a decentralised messaging system
- how MLS concepts can fit into Matrix
- what will be needed to migrate to MLS
