MYSQL_JSON plugin is created in MariaDB as a bridge to bypass the confusion between MySQL and MariaDB JSON data type representation and to help MariaDB users in that regard. Purpose of this talk will be to highlight how to convert MySQL data directory containing JSON native data type in MySQL to the MariaDB data directory where JSON is stored as an alias for LONGTEXT and how to deal with errors in that process.
