Julia holds a Master of Science in Engineering specialized in Embedded Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Telecommunication from FH Campus Wien. As part of her studies, she has developed various projects in Ada and C, like an online platform for students to upload and test their software for microcontrollers (STM32F4), an autonomous on-demand train system using a Raspberry Pi 3 and an autofocus for a camera also using a Raspberry Pi 3. For fun she develops synthesizers with STM32F4s and Arduinos.

As a research assistant she tries to convince her students of Ada's beauty and the necessity of SPARK in safety and security-critical applications.
