Gioacchino Mazzurco is a free thinker and tinkerer, he actively participates in libre hardware and free and open source software development with important contributions to projects likes LibreRouter, OpenWrt, LibreMesh, RetroShare and KDE, he is also recognized for its contributions to community networks. He studied Energy Engineering and graduated in Computer Science at University of Pisa. After living in various cities in western Europe he is now based in the Barcelona neighborhood, were thanks to it's multidisciplinary knowledge he keep impulsing collaborative initiatives, that spreads from ethical food supplying to community managed communications technologies. He has been invited to talk at many events, his story telling skills together with it's spread knowledge are greatly enjoyed by the public. Gioacchino has been involved in the Retroshare project for almost 10 years and has contributed to several parts including the asynchronous messaging, the web interface and Android port. https://librerouter.org/article/gio/
