Markus Windegger
I'm a stundent at the University Trento in Italy studying Computer Science. I'm currently also the IT-Manager and CIO in a public transport company called SASA AG (www.sasabz.it).
My fields of interests are principally Software-Engineering, theoretical Computer Science, IT-systems in transportation companies and programming in different program languages and concepts. Especially combined with OpenData, Free and Open Source Software. I started my career 2011 as a student developing SASAbus, a FOSS providing real time infos about the urban busses in Southtyrol. In july 2012 I was assumed by SASA as IT Project Manager in the FOSS field, since 2014 I'm the IT-Manager and the CIO of it. The company published all their data, even the realtime data, under a Creative Common License, and with other public partners we developed a opensource sistem to manage the realtimedata even on OpenStreetMap maps (bus.bz.it, bus.meran.eu, based on the project https://github.com/tis-innovation-park/realtimebus). In 2015 the LUGBZ awarded me with the Southtyrolean Free Software Award 2015.
