Jason Ekstrand

Jason is an open-source software developer who focusses on user-space graphics. Jason got his start in the open-source graphics world through the Wayland project in 2011. In 2014, he began working at Intel's Open Source Technology Center on the 3-D graphics driver for Intel hardware within the mesa project. His primary contribution so far to the Intel driver has been his work on NIR, the new optimizing middle-layer that is used in i965 as well as the vc4 and freedreno drivers.
