Michaël Peeters has a master degree of science in electronics and telecommunication engineering with orientation in computer science. He has more than 15 years of experience in the security field, focusing on highly demanding sectors like banking, identification, eGovernment, telematics. He’s the co-author of several papers in cryptography, and is the co-designer of Keccak, a cryptographic hash function that was recently selected by NIST as the new SHA-3 standard. He is currently working as cryptographer for NXP Semiconductors.
