Marco Zehe

Born in 1973 and blind from birth, Marco works at Mozilla as an accessibility QA engineer and evangelist. He helps to make Mozilla products accessible to people with disabilities and also teaches web developers on how they can make their sites accessible.

Previously, he worked at a commercial vendor for assistive technologies for the blind and visually impaired called Freedom Scientific. They are the makers of the popular screen reader for the blind named JAWS. His experience in working both with an assistive technology vendor as well as a browser manufacturer gives him a unique broad perspective on how the accessibility for people with disabilities can be achieved in the best possible manner. At the forefront of his work is always the user.
