Richard Hughes

Richard has 6 years of experience developing open source software. He is the maintainer of GNOME Power Manager and Open Hardware Manager and author of the freedesktop session power management specification. He is a major contributor to HAL, and has done much work with the hal-info quirk database, pm-utils and changing kernel drivers to use this new framework.

Richard has recently graduated from the University of Surrey with a Masters in Electronics Engineering. He currently works for a large defense company with all open source work done in his free time. Richard's outside interests include playing rugby union, and eating good food.
