Modest, email client for embedded systems
"Modest" is a project to build a fully open-source email program, designed specifically for embedded devices like the Nokia N800 and N810.
Starting December 2007, installable packages are available, with frequent updates. Modest uses the Tinymail e-mail framework.
Dirk-Jan Binnema has been part of the project since its inception, and in this talk, he'll go through some of the challenges of building a user-friendly e-mail client, taking into account the strengths and limitations of an embedded platform. Both technical and non-technical issues will be discussed, and the way they were handled.
