Luca Foppiano

Luca Foppiano is an Engineer skilled in Linux and Java environments.

He's working for Byte-code Srl, an IT firm focused on providing opensource solutions to enterprise-class companies.

Luca has been involved for a long time into Linux related projects but since a while he has been entered more deeply into development topics, in particular JVM based, like Groovy, Grails, Scala.

His Linux experience started as Slackware user in 2002. Debian user in 2004 and Fedora user since 2006.

In March 2008 joined the Fedora Ambassador community and in December 2009 has been elected as member of Fedora Ambassador Sterling Committee.

Luca is also a contributor on some projects under the Fedora hook, like FUNC (Fedora Unified Network Controller) and Symbolic, an in-house grails opensource software developed since 2008.

Outside computer stuff, he likes photography, snowboarding, surfing, running and so on.
