Pieter Hijma
Pieter Hijma is a freelance software developer, researcher, and open source software and hardware enthusiast. He has a PhD in the area of programming languages for High-Performance Computing focusing on supercomputers with many-core devices. His passion for open source software and hardware led to his recent project that generates Ikea-style assembly instructions (semi-)automatically for Open Source Hardware. Together with Open Source Ecology Germany he set up the Open Toolchain Foundation that aims to improve the software toolchain for engineering physical objects.
